Here's Exactly What The Administration Is Saying About Transgender Students

On Friday morning, the Obama administration issued a "Dear Colleagues" letter to the nation's school districts spelling out what they can do to safeguard the civil rights of students at K-12 schools and colleges, based on their gender identity.

The administration argues that Title IX, which outlaws sex discrimination for any school receiving federal funding, covers gender identity.

The letter does not change any existing laws, but provides what is called "significant guidance." It explains exactly what policies the Education and Justice departments consider to be compliant with Title IX.

"There is no room in our schools for discrimination of any kind, including discrimination against transgender students on the basis of their sex," Attorney General Loretta E. Lynch said in a statement. "This guidance gives administrators, teachers, and parents the tools they need to protect transgender students from peer harassment and to identify and address unjust school policies."

Do we have a ribbon cutting ceremony for this? Do they have a ceremonial flush?

This is BS. One will die with the same chromosomes that one is born with, either XX or XY. Everything else that is done to change ones appearance is the proverbial "lipstick on a pig".

Title IX says no sex discrimination and was based on your sex you were born with. It says nothing about what sex you want to identifiy yourself as being at a particular time.
Are we going to allow the same rights and privileges to those who consider themselves trans-species? If someone identifies themselves as a dog are we to let them walk around on all fours, naked and defacte where and when they feel the need in public? What is the differences between transgender and trans-species...none in my opinion!

I say if they want unisex/multi-sex bathrooms the go ahead and make every bathroom offered in a store a single (one person at a time) use facility and let the lines backup waiting their turns. This should make everyone happy, no one will be in the bathroom with anyone else (uninvited that is).

I'm totally confused on this whole deal. Health insurance is insanely expensive and and terrorism is at out door steps. Troops can't get needed help and old people can't cover bills with SS. Sad times.

It could be said that transgenders have no sex, that what they choose to present is an illusion of one sex or another.

Meanwhile, with all the attention given to this crap, Obama is importing hundreds of thousands illegal Muslims, so we will be conquered just like England...

For 0.03% of population. 0.07% to get to 1 (one) per cent. How STUPID!
Certainly NOT a majority rule.
