Words of wisdom

I have often wondered why it is that Conservatives are called the "right" and Liberals are called the "left".

By chance I stumbled upon this verse in the Bible: Ecclesiastes 10:2 (NIV) - "The heart of the wise inclines to the right, but the heart of the fool to the left." Thus sayeth the Lord. Amen.

It surely can't get any simpler than that.

The hearts of the left are with the devil. There is no such thing as a good just and right democrat. They are all evil people including anyone who votes democrat. Only bad people vote democrat because when you do so you enable the evil doers. If you vote democrat prepare to burn in hell. Because that's where you are going. God hates ugly evil people who enable evil doers so this means he hates democrats.

I think there are many with good intentions on the left, 11:10. I don't think they are all 'evil' necessarily, but they are surely ignorant. The things they advocate have failed repeatedly, often in spectacular ways, yet they seem to think that somehow it will work this time.

The one thing they fail to take into account is the 'heart of man'. Though the theories they embrace look good on paper, you always have the Obamas and Pelosis and Reids that demonstrate the greed and lust for power that ruin it every time.

PS- God doesn't hate anybody. He hates what some of them do.

``the heart of a wise man is to get the law, which was given by the right hand of the Lord; and the heart of a fool to get the goods of gold and silver:''
so Jarchi,
``his wisdom is ready to incline him (the wise man) to the right hand way for his good; but the heart of a fool to pervert him from it.''
The ancients F15 used to call things wise and prudent the right hand and things foolish the left hand.

Does God hate anyone? The answer is yes.

Psalm 5:5, "The boastful shall not stand before Thine eyes; Thou dost hate all who do iniquity,"
Psalm 11:5, "The Lord tests the righteous and the wicked, and the one who loves violence His soul hates."
Lev. 20:23, "Moreover, you shall not follow the customs of the nation which I shall drive out before you, for they did all these things, and therefore I have abhorred them."
Prov. 6:16-19, "There are six things which the Lord hates, yes, seven which are an abomination to Him: 17 Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18 A heart that devises wicked plans, feet that run rapidly to evil, 19 A false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."
Hosea 9:15, "All their evil is at Gilgal; indeed, I came to hate them there! Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will love them no more; All their princes are rebels."
Are these verses hard to read? Do they make you feel uncomfortable? They should. God hates sin. But, He does not punish sin. He punishes the sinner. Sin cannot be tied up and thrown into a fire. It cannot be put in a box or glued to a stick. It is rebellion. It is rebellion in the heart. It is breaking God's Law. Sin occurs inside the heart and mind of people. Therefore, God must punish the sinner. Why? Because He is both Holy and Just and the person who sins offends God. God's Holy and Just character will not allow Him to ignore this offense.

Amen and Amen.

Guns don't kill people - PEOPLE kill People
Religion doesn't kill people - PEOPLE kill People

Point?

Doesn't matter if you are left/middle/right, no matter your gender/race/religion - at the end of the day YOU remain accountable for any/all actions YOU make.

no scripture needed for that advice.

In politics, the term Left derives from the French Revolution, as the anti-monarchist Montagnard and Jacobin deputies from the Third Estate generally sat to the left of the president's chair in parliament, a habit which began in the Estates General of 1789. Throughout the 19th century in France, the main line dividing left and right was between supporters of the French Republic and those of the Monarchy.[5] The June Days Uprising during the Second Republic was an attempt by the Left to assert itself after the 1848 Revolution, but only a small portion of the population supported this.

In the mid-19th century, nationalism, socialism, democracy, and anti-clericalism became features of the French Left. After Napoleon III's 1851 coup and the subsequent establishment of the Second Empire, Marxism began to rival radical republicanism and utopian socialism as a force within left-wing politics. The influential Communist Manifesto by Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels, published in 1848, asserted that all human history is the history of class struggle. They predicted that a proletarian revolution would eventually overthrow bourgeois capitalism and create a classless, stateless, post-monetary society. It was in this period that the word "wing" was appended to both Left and Right.[17]

In the United States, many leftists, social liberals, progressives and trade unionists were influenced by the works of Thomas Paine, who introduced the concept of asset-based egalitarianism, which theorises that social equality is possible by a redistribution of resources.

Actually, the Commandment states, "Thou shall not MURDER." Not Thou Shall not Kill. There is a subtle difference, but you can go argue that with your lawyer.

Why can't more people like 426 contribute comments to this site instead of the usual suspects with their nonsense and baiting?

Well said, 426. Thanks for posting a cool comment.

Right or left neither one really cares about you or I. They all say what they need to so they can get elected and start funneling the corporate lobbyist $ their way. Why cant people see through the fog election after election the 4 years is.....just long enough that people forget the last person that told them the same lies. If they played the pre election banter on reruns like they do old tv shows the people might figure it out. By the time a president that did get re elected serves two terms people are rallied enough to choose the other side. What if NO one voted and we all just said you have to do better than the smelly crap you keep serving us election after election. Ive met many people with far less power who have more scruples than any politician ive witnessed run for office.

the left in the Bible may well refer to the left hand never thought well of by the majority right handed.

what I always think about is Republicans are red and Democrats are blue.
I remember that good old American thought from the 50's Better to be dead than red.

All this stuff is nonsense.
