Volunteer Assistant Chief Jack Hoppes joined the Salisbury Fire Dept. Headquarters Company as a volunteer in 1957. He served the Salisbury Fire Department for 22 years at Headquarters Company, going lifetime in 1979. During these years he served as Past President of the Wicomico County Firemen's Association and Volunteer Assistant Chief. He brother "Greg" and nephew "Richard" have also serve the Salisbury Fire Department as Lieutenant and Fire Chief.
A Firemen's Funeral Service will be held Thursday at 2PM at Bounds Funeral Home on East Main Street in Salisbury where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Rev. J. Harvey Dixon will officiate. Internment with Military Honors will follow in Wicomico Memorial Park.
