Mr. Fitzgerald and Dr. Elmore both voted not to renew the current superintendent's contract a few years ago. Although they were in the minority, it was a courageous action and showed the community at least a couple of board members believed in holding bosses accountable for their actions. Fitzgerald and Elmore would have made a fine leadership team.
