Working out of town this week - would like to hear a report on the results.
Personally, I think an elected school board will be an accountable school board. Residents selected by residents.....
Won't be able to attend tonight, but I KNOW it is a bad idea. It will become just a political process. If you want more accountable actions from the BOE, then parents have to get involved and show up at the BOE meetings and demand accountability. No only the parents, but teachers, too.(which will never ever happen because of fear for their jobs) Won't matter if the members are appointed or elected if those above don't get involved.
get ready for all the whining and drama from the BOE crowd.
if elected it will just open the doors to politicians looking for a spring board. I whole hardly oppose an elected school board.
Next we will get Laura Mitchell running for school board. Scarey isn't it?
lmao at all the fools posting on here. see appointed means no accountability! which is just what they want. This is a no brainer, but unfortunately reading the posts on here show this is just what most of them have....no brains!
