A Letter To The Editor: Mikulski should resign

My wife and I have always been hard working people paying our own way. My wife has had her job with a small but successful family owned Maryland business for over 30 years and now that company can no longer offer a healthcare package. We have always voted for and supported Ms. Mikulski but now believe her resignation is called for. By endorsing and voting for the Healthcare reform act that the president mislead the American people about Ms. Mikulski was either a part of this deception or did not bother to learn enough about the legislation to vote responsibly for the needs of her constituents. I respectfully request Ms. Mikulski resign upon the swearing in of Governor Hogan, as I do not want Martin O'Malley to appoint himself to the Senate as he is known for misleading and acting against his constituent's best interests.

Mikulsky has been a problem for years.

You supported her, remember that next time she is up for re-election. and let others know.

Has she done anything for the Eastern Shore?

At least Norm GoneWay got a cash infusion to the Willards Loins Club!

Since your so proud of "paying you way" sign on to the Maryland website and get your own insurance. Problem solved.
Or where you looking for someone else to pay for your insurance(wife's employer)?

1:06 She has done a lot to bring fed money to both Md and the Shore. Rt 113 dualization and the Wallops spaceport are just 2 of many examples. Unfortunately her politics outweighs the good work she has done for her constituents.

She has voted for everything Obama wanted including gun control. Now, lets see if she will walk the streets of Baltimore at night without bodyguards.

1:26 Mikulsky interest should lie with the area she is suppose to represent, Wallops Island is in Virginia and as far as I know Virginia residents did not put her in office! The people on the eastern shore of Maryland should have been her main concern and has not been for many years. Marylands does not gain significantly from the space port located in Virginia!

If your wife worked for over 30 years it's very possible she and/or you are eligible for Medicare. If not you'll likely find a very affordable plan possibly even subsidized on the Maryland website. Get off your butt and look.

1:26 - Wallops is the Eastern Shore of VA....doesn't do squat for the Eastern Shore of MD....unless they would hire some of us....

Have you checked the plans available on the exchange?
I did and they are horrible. If they are good enough for you and your family then so be it 1:17 but some of us actually care about their families something you clearly do not, otherwise you would never want them insured under any of the exchange plans. I pity any children you may have.

The platinum plan (supposedly really good-LOL) which costs nearly 3 times what I pay for my private plan that I have had for 30 years, doesn't come anywhere near what I get with my plan.
Then you have the problem with not all doctors or hospitals excepting the exchange plans and not all medicines are covered.
They really are plans designed for the "stupid American voters" as per the Obamacare architect Gruber.
While I can sympathize with the author of this post why in the world would anyone have ever voted for Mikulski! Gruber's words "stupid American voter" wasn't news to me, as I've known for at least 30 years that any and all democrats including the democrat politians are intellectually inferior to me.

2:05 and 2:22, Yes Wallops is in Va. However a lot of the workers live and shop in Pocomoke and surrounding areas which are in Md. If it hadn't been for NASA activity at Wallops in the 60's and 70's Pocomoke would have died out long ago. I'm sorry that the 2 of you are so narrow minded and ill informed.

I still have never voted for her because of her politics but she has done a lot for the state.

1:26 it is not fed money it is our money. the national debt broke $18 trillion today and 70% of that was created in the last 6 years, that would be under obama and yes mikulski. there is no more money. these progressives need to go

Milkulski and Cardin practice communist ideology that promotes tyranny. Neither serve Maryland well.

"We have always voted for and supported Ms. Mikulski"

I'm sorry, but what the hell? She has ALWAYS been a worthless, liberal career-politician. You're just noticing??? You people keep voting for this kind until you are directly effected, and then you wonder what happened. Please - pay attention or just don't vote.

I've heard some doctors do not accept the exchange policies. How can they tell what was bought on the exchange or in the private market?
