One child is dead from the violent weather that moved through our region Tuesday night.
The victim was among a group of young campers at River Valley Ranch in Manchester.
Corporal Jon Light with the Carroll County Sheriff's office tells WBAL Radio that camp was in session with 114 kids, ranging in age from seven through 12.
He says, as the storm intensified, camp counselors tried to hustle the kids to safety. They were racing to get to an enclosed area at the top of a hill when a tree crashed down onto a group of campers.

Prayers to the campers staff and families. R.V.R is the nations best Christian camp. I spent my summers There as a camper and ultimately As a staff member. Best fun I ever had.
