And these require a small town with over 60 paid firemen? NOT

What is a PI accident? Personal injury. Requires an ambulance because someone is claiming they are injured. Doesn't justify a paid fire crew responding on a fire "apparatus."

Two natural cover fires? You mean 2 very small mulch fires in a small flower bed. Turn your garden hose on and put the smoldering chips out.

Two automatic fire alarms? You mean 2 false calls because of a faulty alarm system. No fire, no fire apparatus needed.

One medical assist? Send an ambulance to a medical assist.

One citizen assist? Was the citizen on fire? NO. No fire, not fire apparatus.

So you Mr. NONE(Non tax payer) you can't justify a fire truck response on any of those calls.

Day after Day after Day no real fires, but Jim Ireton and Jake Day believe everything Richard "Fatso" Hopeless says and want to pay for over 60 paid firemen. The want to extend the Federal fire grant that paid for 12 additional firemen for 2 years which is going to expire soon. Hopeless(I refuse to call him chief because he wouldn't make a pimple on a real fire chiefs butt)claims they can limit any fire to one room only, but in reality they let an entire building burn down in their own back yard. They saw it burning and responded way before it was dispatched and they still let it burn down. Proves the paid firemen are almost worthless and the volunteer firemen in the County can handle the real fire calls. Get rid of the paid firemen and let the volunteers handle the fire calls. Make EMS a separate department and you will find EMS is actually self sufficient.

PI accident is a motor vehicle accident so yes in all counties across the country a fire/rescue truck gets dispatched, just within the last couple if years the eastern shore has had some significant natural cover fires that burned multiple acres, automatic fire alarms are just that a fire alarm, no one knows whether there is an actual fire or not until they arrive on scene, and in every county in the US a piece of fire apparatus is dispatched to every medical assist. You would never send another ambulance on a medical assist unless specifically requested by the providers already on scene, why because once you do so that ambulance is unavailable to respond to any other emergency until it is completely cleared from that call.

It's ridiculous how there are so many Monday-morning quarterbacks who know absolutely nothing about the fire/EMS services feel the need to open their mouths and let the poo come out.
