95-Year Old Man Tasered To Death by Police In Illinois Nursing Home

It appears that the militarized police force running rampant on the streets of America just can’t handle the threats of a 95-year old man in a nursing home armed with a cane. Although it appears the officers are attempting to justify their violent and aggressive behavior by claiming he was wielding a “12 inch knife,” I would’ve thought the police are supposed to know how to deal with such situations, particularly when their assailant is basically a centenarian. This seems to be societal blowback from the Rise of the Warrior Cop, a subject I highlighted recently. Now from UPI:

I heard he died from the bean bag they shot at his abdomen. Either way, good for the officers.

The Police did the right thing. I see a pattern of violence starting here leading to a life of crime.

Two cops couldn't disarm a 95 year old man? There isn't a 95 year old man ON THE PLANET that I couldn't disarm by myself, without a Taser, nightstick, or bean bag gun. I'd give him a SECOND knife, just to make him feel like he had a chance. Even two against one (and the "one" is older than Bob Hope), they STILL can't subdue a VERY old man without killing him? Come on, man...10:04 says "good for the officers", huh? Take a poll --- how many CITIZENS think this guy was "protected and served"?

actually the police where acting under orders from health and human services dept.

it would cost too much to take him to the hospital so it was a euthinization

Idiot, huh? GOTTA be a cop! He was NINETY_FIVE and in a nursing home! Do they (do YOU, cop?) have ANY concept of "dementia"? 12:06 is a fantastic example of how police REALLY feel. Sass me, question me, insult me, hurt my feelings, threaten me (they've killed CHILDREN for ALL of these things, now they got a 95 yr old man, too) and I can do whatever I please. Killing people? Killing essentially HELPLESS people? Just part of protecting and serving all the idiots (their term for us citizens). Tough guys with a 95 year old nursing home patient. Their boyfriends are proud of them, I'm sure. You know what I'm sayin'.

What do they teach you cops every one is the boogie man. Scared to death of everyone and everything. Good God grow some nuts and learn to think.

he was threatening other people. they tased him. i wouldve preferred they shot him, but they sought the PC way (which im sure you wouldve put him in a timeout with his blankie). police only respond to complaints. they have to deal with knuckleheads like this (and you apparently). knowing they wont get a rational response, they do what they have to. earn respect, dont expect it.

"I would have preferred they shot him".
And YOU call someone a knucklehead??
And think the way cops should earn respect is to kill old people?
And cops don't just "respond to complaints" -- they actively seek reasons to jack people up. Court records and official police documents show thousands of instances where police have turned a small matter into a full-fledged police attack, resulting in the deaths and permanent injury of hundreds of citizens. And THOSE are only the reported cases. How many people have been beaten or killed and no one ever knew about it?
