GOVERNMENT OFFICE BUILDING WILL BE CLOSED OCTOBER 29TH AND 30TH

October 28, 2012 - Salisbury, MD – Due to heavy rains, storm-force winds and high probability of flooding, Wicomico County Executive Richard M. Pollitt, Jr. and City of Salisbury Mayor James Ireton, Jr. announce that the Government Office Building will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, October 29th and 30th for the safety of its employees.

All essential employees, such as those who provide services "relating to the health, safety and welfare of our citizens" are required to report to work, in addition to those who are designated by their directors.

The Wicomico County Health Department will also be closed for both days.

That's funny! Apparently, the Health Department is not included in or concerned with the "Health, Safety and Welfare" of anybody out there!
