Dog Walk

The Salisbury Maryland Kennel Club Charitable Trust's Dog Walk is on Saturday, April 7th, registration opens at 8:00 with the walk to start at 9:30 a.m. The tax deductible donation for the walk with one dog is $20., with each additional dog at $5. Donations will benefit the purchase of stab/ballistic proof safety vests for Police K-9s and oxygen mask kits for area fire departments to resuscitate small animals suffering from smoke inhalation. Each vest costs $840. and each Oxygen Mask kit is $85. In 2011, the Trust provided three vests.

One was for a Police K-9 in Worcester County and another for the City of Fruitland's K-9.

Through a special donation from Hometown Builders and Cathy's Pet Salon &Doggie Day Care a vest for the City of Salisbury's new Police K-9 was purchased. Thirteen oxygen mask kits were distributed to Wicomico County Fire Departments in 2011. Goals for 2012 are to purchase K-9 Police vests and oxygen mask kits for Wicomico, Worcester and Somerset Counties.
