Successful Face Transplant Gives Man New Life


Surgeons from the University of Maryland Medical Center on Mar. 27 detailed what they said was the world's most comprehensive face transplant - allowing a 37-year-old man to emerge from behind a mask 15 years after a gun accident almost killed him.

I've read elsewhere the doner is kept secet on instances of facial implants. It's been done in excess of 20 times so far.
I don't know why it is kept secret. Maybe has something to do with they now looking like the doner and to avoid any potential problems like assuming the dead person's identity.
