Fruitland & Fruitland Intermediate Go Into Lockdown Earlier Today

The Fruitland Police received a call saying someone was trying to enter the Lucky Star Restaurant. The witness then watched the suspect run into the woods.

When the Police arrived there was no real sign of any forced entry but as they searched for the suspect they felt it best to lock down the school.

The owner of the restaurant showed up and it was decided that there was no forced entry, just someone who set off the alarm by trying to open the doors on the east part of the restaurant.

Parents should receive a call from the principal explaining there was a code orange today.

The suspect was never located.

Why waste a phone call. Orange means safe in place. No one was ever found and it was not even a threat to the school. Save the calls for something important so people pay attention to them.

Lockdown? for a hungry person trying to get in a restaurant? over a mile away?
Suspect? Why is there a suspect? there is no CRIME!!
C'mon Mike Phillips. Are you really that idiotic? Like the other 18 neophyte cadets on your force??
18 officers? in Fruitland? Why?
