Oil and Gas Executives Blast Obama

The Obama Administration is taking a beating at this year’s NAPE Conference, the annual expo of oil and gas prospects and industry networking.

Speakers are sparing no jabs in taking the White House to task for three years of policies that they say have reinforced the nation’s tether to oil imports and kept gasoline prices high.

At first blush, the points might seem out of place at a convention whose theme touts a national “oil and gas supply renaissance.” The United States has seen a surge in oil and natural gas production in recent years. In fact, the boom has been so intense, that the United States is considering exporting its natural gas surplus and some analysts are debating the imminence of energy independence.
