On September 16 2011 Julie age 36, was diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. On September 29 she had surgery to remove her colon. She had hope they had gotten all the cancer, but the follow up biopsy showed that it had spread to her lymph nodes. Julie has since received a number of chemo treatments in a battle to win the fight against this disease. Julie's family is holding a benefit in her honor to help with medical expenses.
