Salisbury Salvation Army Breaks Record Year Total

The Salisbury Salvation Army totals are in $192,585.00. We just received the figures from the local branch. This breaks the record from last year, ($183,000.00) and the total will only go up from there. Thank you to all the staff and the volunteers that made this possible.

Joe - this is truly amazing! I guess all the publicity at the end helped push them over the top. I am so glad.

The economy is horrible and I am sure many people need extra help.

God Bless all those who stood in the cold and also dug deep to make up for empty kettle locations. I know I can't pass a kettle without giving something.

This makes me feel so much better about our community - it is great to hear some GOOD news!

To those who work behind the scenes - AND YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE - you did a great job!

It wouldn't have happened without you!

WOW! That's all I can say!!!

I guess all the upswing in holiday shopping carried over to the kettles.

Glad to hear something positive about Salisbury for a change.

Just a reminder that the Salisbury Salvation Army covers Worcester, Wicomico and Somerset counties.

All three counties contributed to this total.

It wasn't just the Salisbury area that was generous.

It's just a shame that some stores with double door entrances won't allow the bell ringers to stand inside the vestibule. Are these mega stores afraid someone is going to put a dollar in the kettle instead of spending it in their store? Excellent job bell ringers!!
