Cat Found

Joe,

I hope you can help find this cat’s owner.  We live on Oxbridge Drive in Willow Creek off of Nanticoke Road in Salisbury and this cat has been wondering around for about a month.  We’re not sure where he/she belongs but when the nights became cold and snow started we decided to at least feed it and keep it warm in our garage.  She/he seems to be in good shape except a bit skinny and but is very friendly.  We’d take her but already have two cats of our own.

If anyone is missing this pretty cat please contact me via e-mail with a phone # at buzzed@comcast.net or any suggestion for a cat shelter that will not euthanize.

Thanks
Jay

What a beautie! This cat looks much too pretty and healthy to be a stray. I'd take him/her, but I also have two cats right now and my spouse would divorce me if I brought another one into the mix!

That being said, if push comes to shove, the Worcester County Humane Society (on Eagles Nest Rd., off of Rt. 611) is a no-kill shelter. In fact, that's where we adopted our current kitties.

Good luck and I hope you find this sweetie's owner.

So good of you to take her in, especially in this horrid weather!

This might be Ari...(like on Enterouge), but we live in Steeple Chase, quite a distance, but I will check with Ari's humans tomorrow to see if it is him/her.

i too, live in willow creek. and i also had a similar experience with a very similar looking cat. in november of 2009 a big orange cat started hanging around and i could tell she was hungry. we had just 2 weeks before gotten a kitten, and not knowing the health of this stray i couldn't bring her in. started feeding her and as the weather got colder brought her in the garage at night. she is still here with us and apparently after you feed a stray for x amount of time thay become yours. also, i believe that strays gravitate to cat people. had the vet look her over and he gave her some shots.

i tried to find the owner with newspaper ads and after that failed i started to look into shelters. that also failed miserably. that's when we decided she was going to stay here and that we would figure it out as we went. as far as the "no kill" shelter...yes, thay don't euthanise, however, i found out that the animal could spend the remander of its life in a tiny cage. one other way you might be able to find the owner is to have a vet (or other professonal) check for a chip.

other than that, i wish you and your kitty best wishes a happy new year!
