Corporations Stole Billions Of Dollars Of Gas From Landowners

Energy companies were supposed to compensate rural Virginians for the billions of dollars worth of gas they sucked from their land, but a local newspaper's Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation found that the money has instead been diverted into escrow accounts for over 20 years. If the landowner even knows the money is there, it's nigh impossible to get it out, and in any event, the companies have only been putting in a fraction of what they're supposed to. A rubber-stamping regulatory board that hadn't done an audit for a decade only compounded the problem. I drink your milkshake, indeed.

That "rubber stamping" regulatory board? Arrest them with high (very high) bonds. Jail them for a long time. They likely have been taking bribes, kickbacks, and payoffs. The energy company executives that have been putting less into the fund than legally required? Jail them too. Fine them personally (not thru their company). The people who have deliberately put roadblocks in front of people who tried to get the money that was legally theirs?? Jail them. Fine them personally. ANYONE with ANY part in this HUGE scam upon "we, the people"??? Make them understand, unequivocally, what it means to cheat the public. What will REALLY happen?? What usually happens? Those crooks say "oh, we're sorry (but still rich--LOL!), and "we, the people" scream about these crooked thieves. Thats it. Have a nice day, you peasants.
