ANNAPOLIS, Md. —One of Gov. Larry Hogan's crime bills would require revealing the sentences handed out in criminal cases, which is meeting stiff opposition from judges.
The governor's legislative crime package addresses witness intimidation, and imposes tougher sentences for gun crimes, as well as publicizing sentences handed out by judges.
There's stiff resistance to the Judicial Transparency Act. The bill would require a state commission to publicize what sentences judges hand out in criminal cases.

The public would be outraged if it was publicized what Fake Day's wife's sentence was related to other criminals.....
How many YEARS have we all known about the crime, the murders, even that these democrat judges were not holding accountability to criminals.....how many years ago could hogan have done this?!?! Now on his way out the door...something to remember him by? His corrupt democrat buddies he's been coddling all this time arent going to let this stand, it interferes with their plan to destroy this sate and country with crime and chaos. I remember he done nothing, I remember how he disagreed with and attempted to belittle the Pres. I remember how he mocked Trump rather than befriend him and ask for help. I remember how hogan spit on the Constitution and due process to submit and sponsor red flag laws. All the hooplah about gerrymandering yet 5 years his done NOTHING MORE than ramble on. I remember...
Those are not just the judges' sentences, they're The People's sentences, handed down by our elected or appointed proxies.
Of course they don't want the public to see how they suspend 90 to 98 percent of a sentence. Also how many times they have let drunks continue to drive.
Should be public knowledge any way. What is the Judges scared of?

I was suing someone who was embezzling from and estate and the judge couldn't care less to stop him until all the money was gone.

I disagree, judges's have guide lines, minimum to maximum. A judge considers circumstances, accused record, severity of the crime, ect, ect, and to top it off "who the defendant is".

Especially the judges on the Eastern Shore. They are the biggest Pu**y judges anywhere. All bleeding heart liberals who only believe in a slap on the wrist and a suspended sentence. Seems like the worse the crime, the least the time. Worthless bunch.
