North Carolina state trooper killed, suspect in custody

A North Carolina State Trooper was shot and killed on a highway early Wednesday, according to a report.

The shooting took place south of Whiteville on Highway 701, WECT-TV reported. It occured during a traffic stop, according to a reporter with 13 News Now.
The suspect was reportedly later surrounded in the woods near Fair Bluff and taken into custody.

Police departments in the area took to social media to pray for the fallen officer.

Only if cops were to give this level of investigation of the average citizen, do you think there would be all this hatred and disconnect with the police and the citizens?? NO of course not...

They call in all cars to find someone who killed or even spit at a cop, yet they let you bleed out in the street after being shot, they don't give you a ride home when drinking, they handcuff your dead body, they abuse and beat on people, violate your rights, and then laugh and fist bump after they do it...

Sounds like you've dealt with them a lot. I might assume that's why you're really mad. Do the right things and obey the laws and you'll have a loss less interaction with them.
And those bad cops? Yep. There are a few. Just like some bad teachers or bad doctors. But don't believe everything you hear on the news either.

The suspect should have been brought out in a body bag. I stand with the heroes in blue. Those who find fault with law enforcement are not role models and have probably been involved with some type of crime.
