Grant Redmond beaten unconscious by man who 'dined and dashed'

An Indiana restaurateur was left with life-threatening injuries after he was beaten by a man who attempted to pay with a stolen credit card that had been declined.

Latin American restaurant Acapulco Joe owner Grant Redmond, 57, was brutally attacked at his downtown Indianapolis eatery when suspect Maurice Marcel Dunlap, 40, allegedly attempted to dine and dash before he was stopped on March 13.

Police say Dunlap was on a date at the time of the violent incident. Redmond was left unconscious and barely able to remember what happened last Tuesday.

The restaurant owner spoke out for the first time in Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital, where he was seen with severe bruising and large staples in his head.

What the heck are you saying 11:01? I know what I'm saying and it's a shame the owner didn't take the life out of the vile criminal.
