TWO ARRESTED FOR WICOMICO CO. MURDER

Brandi Upshur
Genequa Winder

(SALISBURY, MD) – Two suspects have been arrested and additional arrests are expected in connection with the murder a man two days ago in Wicomico County.

The suspects are identified as Brandi D. Upshur, 39, and Genequa T. Winder, 23, both of Salisbury, Md. Both suspects are charged with first degree murder, second degree murder, conspiracy to commit first and second degree murder, first degree assault, second degree assault and reckless endangerment. Both are being held in the Wicomico County Detention Center.

Both suspects are charged in connection with the murder of Tavin T. Molock, 32, of Salisbury, Md. Molock was found injured in the 400-block of Bethel Street by responding Salisbury Police Department officers shortly before 11:30 a.m. on July 30, 2017. Molock later died at the hospital. An autopsy confirmed the manner of his death was homicide. The cause of death is being withheld by investigators at this time due its importance to the ongoing investigation.

The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit investigation led to the identification of the two suspects. The investigation indicates Molock was assaulted by several individuals while he was on-foot in the 400-block of Bethel Street in Salisbury. A motive for the murder remains under investigation.

The Homicide Unit investigation is continuing. Additional arrests are anticipated. Investigative assistance has been provided by the Salisbury Police Department, the drug task forces from Wicomico and Dorchester counties, and the Maryland State Police Gang Enforcement Unit.

It was called in to 911 as a shooting, but they won't still won't say what it was. They don't even have a firearm charge listed among the charges on MD Judiciary Case Search. Something is fishy here and I have a feeling we are being lied to. Given the fact that this happened directly across the street from an elementary school, I expect this matter to be handled accurately.

Street rumors are not facts

5:34 PM I didn't say they were. I said it was rumor on the street. I am sure that's pretty clear. Apparently not to you tho.

Ok folks enough of the cenacle comments. A human being was killed. Instead lets focus our attention to the DA's office and the judiciary to see how they handle the case. Part of our crime problem is a laxed penalty system around here. It's time our DA sends a loud and clear signal that they intend on being hard on criminals.

Really? You're telling people where to focus their attention? Why don't you focus on spelling and grammar!!! What is "cenacle"? Do you mean "cynical"?

Well, they were girls. Of course they won't be charged with anything a guy would do! I went by there and there were about 25+ shell casing markers just in the skreet. Made me wonder how many were in the hi=ouse and yard!

Waiting for the other shoe to drop...
