** MARYLAND WOMAN ARRESTED FOR COUNTERFEIT RIDE TICKETS **

Marilyn Hammerman, 81, of Rockville, Md. was arrested Wednesday (08/09/17) evening after attempting to use counterfeit tickets to access the rides at Funland in Rehoboth Beach.

At around 7:31pm, Rehoboth Beach Police were called to Funland for a report that a patron had provided counterfeit tickets to an employee to ride the bumper cars. The employee, who had worked at Funland for several years, recognized the tickets provided by Hammerman as being fraudulent from past incidents and immediately contacted management. Police were eventually called to the scene as Hammerman was in possession of approximately 20 fraudulent tickets. Hammerman was arrested and charged later Wednesday evening following an investigation into the allegations.

Hammerman was arrested and charged with 1 count of theft of services under $1500.00, a misdemeanor. Hammerman was released on a $100.00 unsecured bail.

That's the cheapest place around! Tickets are like 10 cents apiece.
