Rush: Obama's 'Hideous' Howard U Speech Downplayed Grads' Achievements

President Barack Obama told Howard University graduates this weekend their hard work really meant nothing compared to luck – and he admitted he never wanted a post-racial, post-partisan society, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh told his audience on Monday's show

Limbaugh played clips of Obama's commencement speech in which he told grads to "Be confident in your blackness," but to also be aware of "injustice and unfairness and struggle" by their forbears.

"We have cousins and uncles and brothers and sisters who we remember were just as smart and just as talented as we were, but somehow got ground down by structures that are unfair and unjust," Obama said. "Because yes, you've worked hard, but you've also been lucky.."

You would think that America's first 'black' president would take that opportunity to try to improve race relations but this fellow has done just the opposite.. sowing seeds of strife and division, and reinforcing the victim mentality.

It is really an insult to the black community to say that so much of their success is just 'luck'.

That must be the privileged white part of him speaking.

It takes a real jerk to use a position like his to fan the flames of racism and division.
He can't be gone soon enough.

Dave T: Another divisive speed given by the lack of a leader who wishes to fan the flames of human contempt rather than unite people at a time that is crucial to their well-being. This latest speech represents the most recent evidence that Mr. Obama doesn't have a clue about what it means to be a president. Now in his second term this kook hasn't learned a thing and is now attempting to contaminate the minds of our youth with hopes of spreading a mixed up ideology that is neither sustainable nor acceptable to the American standard of living. How ludicrous to deem success as a product of luck. What about all the hard work that so many people do daily to create the life they want while coping with countless sacrifices and struggles in pursuit of their dreams. The words uttered by Mr. Obama are a testament that this man is completely out of touch with the working and middle class which is the backbone of this nation. Obviously he couldn't care less about people's hardship which is why he feels no shame in patronizing people publicly. Another demented example of how corrupt establishment politics is the biggest threat to this nation.

I give thanks that these eight years are nearly over. And I wonder if those thanks will be given in vain in November.

Dave T: I hope and I pray that November we can take our nation back.

"The harder you work, the luckier you get"

Give it a shot.
Just don't tell me that someone who works 50-60 hrs (or more) a week, doesn't buy gold chains and $200 tennis shoes, saves money, marries the mother of his children, drives a used car and holds a part-time job, too, is just LUCKY, unless you mean he's lucky he's not dead trying to carry the weight of HIS life at the same time he's contributing to the lives of about 5 OTHER families that can't wait to sleep in late and whine that they NEVER have any good luck.
"Lucky" is a guy who never held a real job in his life becoming the leader of the greatest military/economic force known in the history of mankind.
That's real luck.

Osama was lucky that a bunch of liberal (crazy) white folks elected this fool twice, he and his pastor from Chicago are the biggest racists in this country
