Martin O’Malley: ‘My feelings were hurt’ by Maryland voters

Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley said Thursday that he’s still “seriously considering” a run for president but admitted that he was rattled when voters rejected his hand-picked Democratic successor in favor of Republican Larry Hogan.

“I can tell you my feelings were hurt,” Mr. O'Malley said in a speech at the University of Chicago, CNN reported. “We had done a lot of really good things in Maryland and in the end, you did not hear much about it during the campaign,”

Still, he acknowledged, “I was on the ballot.”

Mr. Hogan won a stunning upset victory over Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown, who served alongside Mr. O'Malley for eight years. The Republican’s campaign focused almost exclusively on Mr. O'Malley’s record of massive tax increases and heavy government spending.

"done a lot of really good things" for the government by screwing the taxpayers....we are happy to see you gone, not replacing you with OweMalley 2.0 - (Anthony Brown)...and really happy to send Norm with you to stand in the unemployment lines.....

From what I have seen - worse than Parris Glendenning......

He lives in "la-la" land and doesn't realize it. He's naked and doesn't see it. There are so many things I could say about this man's leadership or lack thereof, but it's redundant at this point. He must exit stage right (or should I say left) never to lead in any capacity again.

Oh boo hoo, I'm really sorry his feelings were hurt - if he hadn't taxed us to death and hurt our wallets, maybe his feelings wouldn't be hurt. Bye, don't let any of the Governor's mansion doors hit you in the rear end as you exit.

When Brown was not elected O'Malley reduced the intended 4% St Employee pay raise to 2%.

All I could do was shudder. He almost destroyed our state.

Just don't let the door hit you on the way out idiot.

Good...get the point?

Please, Martin...don't embarrass us any more than you have. We gave you 8 years to try to prove some leadership skills; they're just not there. Allow the democrats to continue to use your refined public speaking skills to help their party get "the message" across to the lemmings. We need leadership in DC. No more empty suites, please!

If it's about your feelings, it shows why you were rejected by the voters.
