Why Do Parents of Public School Kids Put up with These Crappy School Lunches?
The American people pay property taxes that go to our nation’s public schools. There are laws in place that require those schools to supply the students with a school lunch. One of the largest federal funding streams that schools get every year is specifically to provide food to the kids.
So, pray tell, what the hell is this crap?
Darrel Bunch, a senior at Haskell High School in Oklahoma, took the pictures above and sent them to Fox 23. I think that second one is supposed to be a breadstick?

I have my son pack his lunch every day. Thankfully we are able to do that.
Because they are too lazy to feed their own kids
Most are democrats and won't speak out about their party.
More importantly, why do parents put up with a crappy education, indoctrination, mind control, common core and lastly horrible lunches?
Really as far as the lunches are concerned; make your own. what's wrong with a PB&J sandwich and fruit? be creative and healthy at the same time...
Sadly you can change the lunches, but you can't change "common core" unless you SPEAK UP EN MASS.
As a responsible parent I will decide what a "healthy" meal is for my children. Mrs. Obama does and will not make those decisions in our home. The key word in this comment is "responsible".
Grew up on cafeteria lunches in the 60s and 70s. They were always pretty good and fairly balanced. Kids today need physical activity not starvation meals. Put down the game controller and MOVE.

Sometimes it is not always the games. Some children sit for hours doing homework. I'm glad my children are out of school. The amount of homework some nights was enough to drive anyone crazy. Some nights they never had a chance to go out and play after school for fear that they wouldn't have enough time to get all their homework finished.
Lunch food been crappie for decades!!!
Why are we feeding every child breakfast and lunch whose parents are too LAZY to get out of bed and be responsible enough to feed the children that they brought into this world. And then there are those that get breakfast at home and at school. I say we should STOP enablbing these spoonges on society and make them responsible for their own kids!!
When you mandate by law our kids attend your satanic indoctrination you inherit the responsibility to feed them.
Much like lording over the poor with unjust laws and for profit prison systems, you pay the section 8, welfare, AFDC and prison housing cost.
You don't really expect to live as tyrants and have the people pay for their misery do you?
For the obtuse, your notion people are born inherently determined to be a good citizen in a country that gives them jack squat but misery and poverty is so delusional as to be funny.
You have a nationwide crime culture bred from spite, and yet still people seem confused.
We never had crappie for our school lunches. Perch fish sticks sometimes, but never crappie.
