(CNSNews.com) - Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), chairman of the special Select Committee on Benghazi, says a "very robust" investigation into the terror attack on a U.S. diplomatic compound will "kick off in December."
"My goal was to have an investigation where witnesses who had never been talked to before felt comfortable coming forward because of the seriousness of our investigation, and that's precisely what is happening," Gowdy told Fox News's Megyn Kelly Tuesday night.
"So, it is not with a lot of fanfare and there aren't a lot of public hearings, but trust me when I tell you we are making tremendous progress."
