Troopers Seek Public’s Help in Locating a Wanted Subject

Smyrna, DE - The Delaware State Police is asking the public’s assistance in locatingThomas C. Cadmus Jr., 23 of Smyrna (Photo attached). Cadmus is wanted by the State Police for Felony Theft $1,500.00 or Greater, Selling Stolen Property, two counts of Theft Under $1,500.00, two counts of Falsifying Business Records, and four counts of Theft by False Pretense.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred Monday October 20, 2014 between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 am. at a residence located in the 800 block of Big Oak Road, Smyrna when Cadmus was assisting with home renovations of 63 year old female. When the female returned to the house after running an errand, she noticed various jewelry items valued at more than $4,900.00 missing from her bedroom after Cadmus was seen exiting the room alone. After the incident, Cadmus never returned to the house and detectives were able to positively identify some of the jewelry that had been pawned at local pawn shops.
