Suspect waiting to be tried for murder accidentally RELEASED from Baltimore jail and goes on the run after protocol breach

Law enforcement officials in Maryland are on the hunt for a murder suspect who was released by mistake from jail while waiting to go on trial.

Rodriquez Purnell, 30, was erroneously freed Friday from the Maryland Reception, Diagnostic and Classification Center in Baltimore, and he has not been seen since.

Purnell was awaiting trial in the shooting death of 27-year-old Terrance J Rheubottom on St. Patrick's Day 2013 in Baltimore. He also had been convicted of assaulting a corrections worker.

Yep, jail is totally fixed. Good job Brown and O'Malley! I wonder if he knocked up a guard while he was in, temporarily?

the new buzzword "protocol"

10:16 - You are EXACTLY right!
"Breach of protocol" has popped-up at the beginning of the Ebola epidemic. It's another sign that lately here - in America - no one takes responsibility.
It's nobody's fault; nobody's responsibility; nobody's area of expertise. Using the term "breach of protocol" takes the onus off of everyone.

He has been captured. The prisons and jails in the Baltimore area are worthless, they need to close all of them. However, the problem was probably OCMS. That computer system is junk and more than likely the data never showed up to alert someone that he shouldn't have been released.

12:31 don't go and blame a computer, humans do this at Wicomico county all the time.

@12:31
I'm sure some idiot up there screwed up but anyone that knows that system knows it's a piece of junk that MD spent millions on.
