Look at all those fire calls the Salisbury Fire Department responded on!! NOT!!

When are you idiots going to wake up to the fact that we don't need over 65 paid firemen in Salisbury when the volunteers can do the same job for free. The system is rigged to make you think you need paid firemen when in fact you don't. Kentland VFC in Prince Georges County hands around 7,000 FIRE calls and they are 100% Volunteer 100% of the time. They do not self dispatch themselves on ambulance calls or any calls like they do in Salisbury. If by chance they self dispatch or respond when they are not supposed to they are immediately told to return to service. This is what should happen in Salisbury and Wicomico County, but it doesn't.

Press Release

Lt. Cramer Achieves Certification as a Fire Protection Specialist.

Tuesday, June 17, 2014

The Salisbury Fire Department is proud to announce that Lieutenant Eric Cramer has achieved certification as a Fire Protection Specialist from the Certified Fire Protection Specialist Board. The Certified Fire Protection Board (CFPS) was formed in 1971 for the purpose of documenting competency and offering professional recognition for the individuals involved in fire protection, fire safety, and fire prevention. In 1998, CFPS and NFPA partnered to jointly offer this highly regarded certification program. The CFPS Board credential is internationally recognized as a mark of achievement within the fire protection field. This group of professionals included risk managers, loss control specialists, fire officers, fire marshals, fire inspectors, safety managers, fire protection consultants, designers, code enforcers, loss prevention professionals, building code officials, commercial real estate managers and others who have responsibilities dealing with the application of fire safety, fire protection, prevention, and suppression technologies. This coupled with his recent certification as a Fire Inspector III and Fire Plans Examiner place the City of Salisbury in a great position to provide for the fire and life safety of the citizens and visitors to the City of Salisbury through fire and life safety plan review, compliance inspections, and fire protection consultation.

We all know that fires in the area are very rare , when they do happen , it is too late or they have a rekindle.

Eric Cramer congrats on your new certification. You are more qualified to be the fire chief than Rick Hoppes is. You keep kissing butt and you might get there. ;-)

One thing Eric Cramer is that Rick Hoppes isn't and will never be is a paramedic. But now that he is promoted to Fire Lieutenant he won't have anything to do with EMS.

Rick Hoppes was a Cardiac Rescue Technician when he was a firefighter. That should mean something.

That doesn't mean crap. He failed the National test and that is why he was demoted back to a basic EMT.

Yes it means a lot. He failed the mandatory Bridge class and lost his certification so that means that he is a poor leader who doesn't care about a division that runs 95% of the departments calls. EMS, Emergency Medical Services, is approximately 95% or more of the Salisbury Fire Departments call volume and it's chief is not smart enough to pass a bridge class and an National Exam. Not only is he not smart enough he doesn't care enough to become a more experienced and educated fire chief. Speaks volumes my friend, says a lot. Incompetence at its best.
