McDonald’s Asks Franchisees To Celebrate Christmas By Staying Open On Dec. 25

In an attempt to continue bouncing back from an almost unheard-of dip in sales during October, the folks at McDonald’s have asked franchisees to not close down during the holidays this year.According to Ad Age, which obtained some leaked internal memos from Golden Arches HQ, the push to stay open regardless of what the calendar says began almost immediately after the company announced a 2.2% decline in sales for October.

“Starting with Thanksgiving, ensure your restaurants are open throughout the holidays,” reads a memo sent on Nov. 8 by McDonald’s USA Chief Operating Officer to franchisees. “Our largest holiday opportunity as a system is Christmas Day. Last year, [company-operated] restaurants that opened on Christmas averaged $5,500 in sales.”

Wow Greed never wins. Christmas is not about money it's about being with family and celebrating the birth of our lord. Close the fricking stores for one day people!

Mcd's problems are primarily because of the crap they call food. Big Mac is now just a piece of cardboard between stale, crumbling bread, french fries are soggy, and fish sandwich is a 1+1/2 inch thin strip of minced fish with 90% bread filler. Even the chicken sandwich is 1/2 the size of Arby's.

1119-Problems? Check out their stock price. They're doing very well. I don't know how, their fast food is some of the worst in the business. But the pigs will always go to the trough.

Research who is buying the stock... What do you think the financial institutions are doing with all the free money the treasury is giving them? When the price gets high enough it will be dumped and the market will tail-spin again..
