Salisbury Zoo Update

We still have not received word from the City NOR any of our viewers as to the condition of the Salisbury Zoo and its animals after Hurricane Sandy.

You would think with the hundreds of thousands of people who have been on this Site over the past three days we would hear something, so it must not be good news.

Again, we offer the Zoo the opportunity to update us on how things are. Remember, it's OUR Zoo paid for by OUR taxes.

The sad part about all this. All they had to do was put a call out to people to help either evacuate them or come help with them and people no doubt would have been there in an instant to help.

The head of the zoo was on I believe WBOC (if not check WMDT)last night explaining how they get the animals "secured" for the storm. He said they find a building that will house the animal(s) (meaning more than 1 duck not all types) and if needed they contact someone that has a building to help out. The animals apparently made out fine and now they are in clean up mode. They showed peopled raking up the debris. He seemed very calm and reassuring so if anything bad has happened we won't hear about it.

I saw something on wboc. The zoo people were standing in front of a building insinuating the animals were in the building safe. My son said yea mom all those animals were in the arc and they didnt eat each other they all survived????'I thought to myself how do the big cat and the pirrie dogs and buffalo get into this building..It didnt show what or how many animals were in the building or IF that was the building???????

The zoo hasn't contacted you because they don't give a fuck about you, you are insignificant. Now go away before I taunt you a second time.....

There have not been hundreds of thousands of visitors to your site you lying POS. Prove it. Provide verifiable data or quit lying.

Oh, and get over the Zoo. You and your wife lost. Just leave them alone. We'll be revisting all of the zoo court documents in a puplic forum during your proposed campaign for mayor. Yes, along with you boasing about Mafia ties and a whole bevy of other crap you've pulled over the years. I hope you remember all of the lies you've told because we have them stored up for you.

Very interesting comments. It would seem we've upset someone, haven't we.

Taunt me, hmmmmm. Could it be, Barrie Tilghman, Chief Webster, Jim Rapp, Mike Dunn, Carrie Samis, Jonaylor, hmmmm, I just don't know.

As for proving the volume of traffic I get here, there are plenty of Sites that can confirm the traffic we get here on Salisbury News. However, WHO would that bother the most out of the names above. My guess, Jonathan Taylor.

Jonathan, I invite you to come down to my Office and I will personally sit you down at my computer and show you my daily hits, monthly hits and yearly hits. You are the insignificant one Jonathan.

To confirm this even further, things have been very quiet ever since JR shut down his newspaper. Then we published a photo of our hits the other day and all of a sudden the nasty comments returned. No, it's not JR, it's Jonathan Taylor.

Getting back to the point of this Post, why doesn't the Zoo put out a press release as to the condition of MY/OUR animals? After all, WE own them. WE feed them. WE pay for their salaries.

Oh, that's right. Jimmy Ireton doesn't want bad news going public. Instead, he'd rather walk around with WBOC and WMDT and clean up twigs on the Plaza and act like he's doing clean up after the hurricane. Of course he wasn't doing so at the Zoo. He's keeping every one away from there.

Let me add, the Plaza had just that, twigs on the ground. No branches fell of the trees. Yet the local MSM made a big deal of it because they looked like fools for not getting out and covering the actual storm when it was happening.

I'll add, the STRESS from the last time they relocated animals killed several in the process, that's a fact. It's just as much my Zoo and I want answers. Sal;isbury News is NOT owned by the public, therefore Mr. Taylor, I do NOT have to provide anything for you. Start acting like a man for once in your life and stop hiding behind anonymous.

Sounds like those zoo keepers are a little upset? Must have struck a nerve. Show us the animals in that building...

You hit the nail on the head Joe. It was JT.

Joe, do yourself a favor and just ignore Jonathan Taylor. Everyone else with half a brain does.

Sounds like the zoo lost some animals this time around! Damn. Well, I'm going there tomorrow, so I'll join a lot of residents in reporting the truth. I'll do an animal count for everyone's benefit. Being unemployed in this economy, it's the least I can do.

"check out the building" while you are there. How large is it? How many animals could fit in there?
