DEBUNKED: HERE’S THE EXPLANATION FOR THE ‘MADE IN CHINA’ ROMNEY HAT YOU’RE SEEING ON FACEBOOK

Both of the presidential candidates for the upcoming election say they will fight for business that will keep and create jobs in the United States. And they’re trying to practice what they preach already with promotional items in their online stores boasting “Made in the USA” labels. The photo going viral online (see below) compares a Romney/Ryan hat’s tag to that of an Obama logo hat. The GOP candidate’s hat in blurry text says Made in China while the president’s hat was made in America.

Someone should ask about the hemp items sold on Obama's website. The fabric can't be from the US because hemp isn't allowed.

Vermont and North Dakota have passed laws enabling hemp licensure. Both states are waiting for permission to grow hemp from the DEA. Currently,[when?] North Dakota representatives are pursuing legal measures to force DEA approval.[90] Oregon has licensed industrial hemp as of August 2009.[91] Hemp is not legal to grow in the U.S. under Federal law because of its relation to marijuana, and any imported hemp products must meet a zero tolerance level. It is considered a controlled substance under the Controlled Substances Act (P.L. 91-513; 21 U.S.C. 801 et seq.). Some states have made the cultivation of industrial hemp legal, but these states — North Dakota, Hawaii, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Oregon, California, Montana, West Virginia and Vermont — have not yet begun to grow it because of resistance from the federal Drug Enforcement Administration.
