Pew Poll: Obama-Romney Tied On Middle Class

In his consensus debate victory, Mitt Romney did a lot to tear down the portrait the Obama campaign has painted of him over the course of the entire summer. Nowhere is that more evident than in his improved image with the middle class in a new Pew Research poll released Monday
For most of the campaign, Romney has trailed President Obama on the issue of who would do more to help the middle class. That problem was amplified after Romney's controversial "47 percent" comments from a private fundraiser in June. 
Now, though, according to the Pew poll, the two candidates are virtually tied on which candidate would better aid the middle class.
