The United States Postal Service is down in the financial dumps lately, after defaulting for the first time in its history on a $5.5 billion payment it owes the U.S. Treasury. It's got another payment due for about the same amount next month that it will probably miss as well. That bright idea to produce 1 billion The Simpsons stamps isn't looking so great right about now, as the USPS reports it only sold 318 million of them.

doh!!
put 'em on sale LOL
I love them but my post office ran out.
Ditto to 1:00 pm
Used them for notes to nephews and nieces; would have purchased again if they were in stock.
Wish they stocked commemorative series longer; always hit & miss; too expensive anymore to buy them for inventory at home.
All they are out of is the printing costs, a small fraction of the face value of the stamps
Businesses use more stamps than birthdat carders. What business would use these except a very few?
