PUBLIC NOTICE


The Salisbury City Council has scheduled an additional work session in Council Chambers (Room 301) of the Government Office Building (125 N. Division Street) for Friday, January 13, 2012 at 2:15 p.m.

The purpose of the work session is to discuss 1) how to proceed on Fire Chief selection; and 2) annual evaluation of legal services contract/performance.

I hope they do the right thing. Hoppes it the wrong choice for that position. If you only knew how he has treated the better council members.

If Hoppes wasn't good enough a year ago, what has changed now? He hasn't met any of the stated requirements for the position. Sorry, it's just a fact.

I hope the city council does the right thing and correct this problem Jim Ireton has brought forward. Ireton is not the Mayor he said he would be.

Dear Council members:
Please do not consider Hoppes. He was there and could not do the job. You need to be looking at Brian Records who would do a fantastic job. Don't let Jim Ireton (who has already made that wrong decision once) push you into doing the same mistake again.

Brian Records is more qualified than Hoppes. If Hoppes had been the right person in the beginning he would of been put in the position permanately. Council members, please don't let the "acting" mayor and his two buddies on the council pressure you into making a bad choice again. This is an important position.
