Maryland has been cheated out of more than $11 million by the state's biggest 50 individual and business tax scofflaws, according to a list published Tuesday to shame the delinquents into forking over the money.
"This is an issue of fairness," said Maryland Comptroller Peter Franchot, who released the list. "These people are just telling the state to go jump into a lake. We want to both put the spotlight on them and shame and embarrass them into paying up."

There are 2 people listed with residences in Palm Beach and New Orleans. If that is their primary residence, why would they owe MD anything?
Franchot is a model Governor candidate. He goes public with only 50% of the facts.

Barney, the out of state addresses could just be their mailing address. I know of someone who has resided in MD for 30 + yrs and all mail of theirs goes to an attorney's office in Northern VA who in turn also acts as a bookkeeper getting off checks for the couple's bills. Even Christmas cards are sent to the attorney's office. He then mails any personal correspondance to them on a weekly basis or more if needed.
