A Board of Directors runs an organization. This is based on Bylaws for Non Profits 501c3 and 501C4 places as well as any other corp. It is obvious to me they are a "do nothing" board and need to be replaced with people that understand animals, laws and most of all HOW TO RUN A BUSINESS. They need to call an emergency Board meeting now and the president needs to step down, IMO.

Yes, & they need to be made accountabler to the citizens of this County!!!! Our tax money is going to fund the HS.
They should come before the public & the Council together to answer questions of How they are going to make changes out there for the benefit of the animals & citizens.

You know---I do not always agree with Joe Albero----but ----I do know that He would definately run a HS with the deepest respect for the animals & the people of this County!----There is no question in my mind to that statement & I stand behide it 100%!! He has offered to do just that & County won't agree to give him the tax payers money that's now being given to the HS for only 3 years!!!!!
I truly do not understand our County Representatives can sit back seeing the neglect, disrespect, lack of responsibility & no accountability
in what we now have out there.
It is time to wipe the board clean ---start all over again.---Joe has enough supporters I know he could run the business without any help from the County within the grace period he offered to accept No More Money from this County.
I believe the Executive, The County & the Board should look at the Entire picture & do what is best for the people & the animals!
Joe can't be liked by all---no one is---but he definately has a great deal of respect from many, many people when it come to his word in doing what he says he will do & standing up for what is right & just!!! I admire that in him too!

I want you and every one else here to know, my offer is no longer on the table.
We made that offer more than a year ago and the County Executive never followed up with it. Instead, they chose to continue working with the Wicomico HS and now they must deal with what they have.
They have admitted very openly, they can do NOTHING to the HS, except reduce their budget. That they have done. But what was the end result, less animals control for the county taxpayers.
The taxpayers are throwing away every single penny they pay out for this organization and THAT is what the taxpayers and our readers should be up in arms about.
The Board, (the joke that they are) should be eliminated and a new group of people who actually give a crap about animals should replace them.
I dealt with this same exact crap with the Zoo Commission. Another group of people who cannot be told what to do. Ron Alessi has served the Zoo well but quite honestly he needs to go and even Ron knows it, he just can't let go and let ALL of the crap, (baggage) he's created in the past to be left behind with the possibility of being exposed.
I have received MANY calls referencing our agressive posts on the HS. Once I finished explaining EVERYTHING to these well known animal lovers they were furious and absolutely agreed, the Board needs to go.
In order for my proposal to work I'd have to have my Wife as the Director and our lives have changed so much, we really don't have the interest any more.
Now, there's one last thing I'd like to close with. First of all, the HS must hire a new Director. Someone NOT from the area. This person would need to come in with a game plan right out of the gate and if ANY of the employees don't see eye to eye with that plan, FIRE THEM!
The Board is looking for the perfect candidate and in my honest opinion they are NOT even making a serious attempt to hire someone. They like things just like they are because again, like Alessi, there's too much bagage and things to perhaps be exposed.
These kinds of groups need to be eliminated. The Zoo, the HS and the Liquor Dispensary are just a few off the top of my head.

And because it comes from YOU, they will probably never let it happen.
No offense to you Joe, and there is really no way for me to know tht is true or not but, you know better than we that when your name is mentioned some people see red and automatically are against anything you propose.
Again, I can't prove thatbut it's what my gut tells me. It shouldn't be that way but you know how some people are and the way things work.
