Obama Mocked for Blaming Slow Recovery on ATM’s

Merciless mocking from Republicans hasn't put President Obama off his focus on the economy, as the White House insisted Thursday that the president is taking "enormously seriously" the hardships Americans are enduring.

"It's patently obvious that the president is focused on the economy, that he takes enormously seriously the hardship that Americans continue to endure," White House Press Secretary Jay Carney said.

Earlier in the week, at a jobs council meeting, the president was called out for saying that "shovel-ready projects' weren't quite as shovel-ready as he thought. Then later, in an interview with NBC News, Obama suggested that innovation and technology -- like job-stealing ATMs -- were reasons why the employment rate was not rebounding as quickly as he had hoped.

Obammy is correct. It used to be that I could take money out of the ATM with ease. Now I get that message saying insufficient funds.
Damn ATMs, ruining this country!

He takes "enormously seriously" the hardships facing Americans, huh? Is that in between his international jaunts to Brazil or Spain, or the Far East? Or, as he is on ANOTHER vacation (many Americans, because they are now PART-TIME, don't even get ONE vacation), or maybe as he is playing another round of golf with some celebrity or "campaign contributor". How can a multi-millionaire, with free medical care for him and his family (for life), free housing and travel, and a private army to guard him (he's not getting robbed at the ATM for his paycheck...) know, or have any clue about, what it's like for the rest of America??? Him and Romney should get together and come up with a comedy routine.....

No one will actually admit that there is some truth to the statement. There are more ATMs than people at some banks. The movie theater I go to has automated kiosks for tickets and self serve snack counters. Redboxes are everywhere while stores that actually employ people are closing left and right.
