Giving Back To Homeless Veterans

I joined the Fraternal Order Of Eagles on Sunday for a Poker Run that turned out to be a blast. The route was from Salisbury to Peakey's in Princess Anne. Then to Oasis in Willards, then the VFW in Delmar and back to Salisbury. However, we decided to take several detours along the way, all of which I'll put up in the next couple of Posts. There were 55 bikers who participated and raised thousands of dollars to give back to homeless Veterans.

It is a shame and scandal that our Government does not "take care of the vetereans". Why do we pay all these taxes? Why does the government give lip service to veterans then not properly fund their health care and retirement? Why is it necessary for us to give even more of our already over-taxed incomes in order to take care of our heroes?

It is sad and shameful

This is such a good event to raise money for the vets thanks to all who helped. My husband is a vet and it touches close to my heart that people still do good things for people. Thanks to everyone.

I was also one of the riders in this event and I wish I would have known where you were heading Joe. I would have enjoyed joining you. I'm sure you had other things you could have been doing but you took the time to join us and made your donations as well. For that I thank you and hope to see you on another ride soon.
