STERLING, Va. (AP) - Customs and Border Protection says a drug-sniffing dog found 21 pounds of marijuana hidden in packages of chocolate shipped to Washington-Dulles International Airport.
The marijuana was headed to New York. It has an estimated street value of nearly $17,000.
Officials say the dog, named Demi, alerted for a mailbag that arrived from Mexico City. One of five boxes in the sack contained marijuana.
The marijuana will be destroyed.

Thats about the only thing one can do with Mexican herb....just destroy...it ain't no good anyway...even the police know that...thats why they didn't steal it.
Most American weed is grown in Kentucky. Why import weed?
I had a friend that died last year that was a union dock workers shop steward. He used to laugh at the big busts in the news. He said to south american coke came from England in the container walls of containers full of antiques. After they unloaded the containers into tractor trailors they dumped them at an auction that your paid in cash. He got a 50/50 split after commissions. I remember him doing this several times over the years but didn't know the story then. He sid when the containers came into the docks for unloading the state and local police stood guard while the walls were ripped out by dockworkers who all got a piece of the action as did the cops. So this stuff you read is just smoke for show, the real deal goes on day and night and law enforment to many times are involved. Be careful who you say what to, because they will let noone come between them and the money. Go watch them load or unload containers sometimes, no man or agency is ever around, it's a rapid paced madhouse with ZERO oversight. I've watched the loading and unloading dozens of times. No DEA, no cop, noone. When they load cars on Petty's Island just outside of Camden N.J. on friday nite the cars come across the one way bridge like they're on fire, ramps are waiting at the containers and as soon as one level is full, the ramps go to the next level. They can fill a whole container in a couple of minutes. Big ticket cars, not pinto's and vega's, get my drift? Every friday about 5 pm. If you try to cross the bridge the gate guard will turn you around, when the cars start coming, they don't even slow down. DRug arrests are a joke on the American public.
