Washington Humane Society officers found an undernourished dog at 3331 22nd Street SE. The dog was locked inside a cage behind a Dumpster at the Douglas Knoll apartment complex.
A maintenance man discovered the dog and notified the Society. Now the dog has been named “Thomas.” He’s a 6-year-old poodle mix. Thomas was found severely matted and his coat was soaked in urine. The cage was also filled with feces, indicating the dog was housed in the cage for weeks.

OH this is a go to jail and stay in jail. People like this need to be put in that cage. I am soooooooooooooo mad.
Why people can do this is beyone my comprehension! There is such cruelty in people today!!! They do this to an animal, they will do it to a person too!!!
Laws just do not protect the animals & if they do, the darn judges don't impose them!
Something should be done---it's criminal!!!!
Find the owner and put it the same cage this dog was left in in the same atomsphere, no food, no water, no toilet paper, etc. This person(s) would think long and hard before they did it again, if they survived!
I hate people !!!!!!!!!
The more people I meet, the more I love my dog.
I want to be first in line to flog the you-know-what who did this.
SE DC, of course.
