LeeLee Update: AMEN

Joe,

If you would be so kind as to run another update on LeeLee. The day has seen our community's prayers being answered for this precious girl and her family!! We knew she was so full of life that nothing would hold her back for long :) Thank God for the wonderful medical staff up in Christiana!!

I am including a picture again. I am not sure if you can run it or not.
Thank you so much!

Once again, these communications are between LeeLee's mother and her boss, the principal at WiHi.

Chris text me that Lee Lee's breathing tube has been removed and she is breathing on her own. She asks that we keep praying for her brain and her arm. Keep those prayers coming.

Ok... Chris just called me again with even more good news! (LeeLee) Is responding. She was asked her name and she said it. She was asked the year and she said 2010. The swelling in her left arm has gone down by half AND she is moving some of her fingers on her left hand!!!!! At one point she even swatted at the nurse.A tearful and grateful Chris asks that we continue praying. Jesse came up today to see his sister and is taking it a little hard. Pray for him as well as the rest of the family.Prayer changes things!Lorenzo L. HughesPrincipal

8:20pm she is the girl who was a passenger in her brother's car in the accident in Delmar yesterday that blew a tire and caused the car to go in ditch. She was flown to Christiana Hospital and brother taken to PRMC. Was on the other news sites.
Have been praying for this girl and her brother and family and friends. My best friend died in a car accident at this age so I know what they are going through. Praying for a speedy recovery.

Hi This is Lee Lee's Momma .. Chris Melvin. God Bless you Joe for putting this info up. She is loved by so many and such a wonderful young lady. The prayers are what is healing her .. she almost died and I know that God stepped in that it was not her time. My son Jesse too!! He walked away from the car accident.. and true miracle for them both!! I can't wait for her to open her eyes to see your blog. She loves to look at it with me. God bless everyone in Salisbury, Delmar, Laurel for their prayers and for the Delmar Fire Department and Trauma Response unit and helicopter.. I was told today that Delmar Fire Department is who I need to thank for contributing to save her life so she could fly. I have many more to thank and so many churches.. ORBC, The Tabernacle and many more... God Bless everyone involved the surgeons who were not to be together that night and they WERE to our savior who held her for the 10 hour operation... and continues to hold her in his arms. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you EVERYONE!! XOXOX Love, Chris Melvin and Family
