A Readers Response To Two Sentz

Because I believe we really are a monarchy, not a democracy and that the President should have the powers of a King.

-Hasn’t Barack Obama taken offices that have traditionally been under the Legislature and put them under the office of the White House? Isn’t he the one who has attempted to consolidate as many offices as possible under the control of the Presidency?

Because I believe the Constitution is just a goddamn piece of paper.

-You mean like the part that says you have to be a US Citizen to be president? Or the part that says you have the right to bear arms (a convenient thing Liberals tend to forget)?

Because the rule of force trumps the rule of law.

-Hmmm…that’s why the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court is a Conservative…

Because we need more poor people.

-Any student of economics can show you that “hand-outs” and “bail-outs” do nothing…you must have solid job creation and wealth creation…you can’t just keep printing money.

Because an obese drug addict with a radio show told me to.

-And I voted Democrat because an uneducated, rich, spoiled Hollywood starlet told me to.

Because I love catchy phrases like "MISSION ACCOMPLISHED" and "BRING 'EM ON."

-Because “Hope”, “Change”, and “Yes, We Can” sound so much better.

Because clean air is so darn overrated.

-And so are pointless taxes and environmental programs that have proven to be expensive failures…yet we keep doin’ em.

Because the thought of torturing people brings me close to orgasm.

-And the thought of letting terrorists go free brings makes Libs cream their pants.

Because "habeus corpus" was dreamed up by a bunch of men wearing tights.

- Unless of course you’re a President who committed perjury, then the rules just don’t apply to you…

Because I think my chances of getting salmonella are very low.

-What? This point didn’t even make sense.

Because facts are for liberal weaklings.

-Facts are inconvenient truths for Liberal douche-bags…they mean you actually have to prove something.

Because when I finally get wealth and power I damned well aim to keep it forever.

-Heck yeah, because it is MY wealth and power…as my property I can see fit to do with it as I will…why penalize me for being successful?

Because the idea of bombing Iran makes me salivate.

-And bombing Kosovo, Somalia, Yugoslavia, Albania, Iraq (Operation Desert Fox, look it up, 1998)

Because gays don't deserve civil rights.

-They don’t deserve special rights…and marriage is a church matter, not a state matter.

Because rape victims don't deserve abortion rights.

-But people who are lazy do…

Because the unregulated free-market is working so well.

-Again…understand economics before you open your mouth. Economics is cyclical…are there things the government can do to help, yes…but Soviet Russia proves the government cannot run the economy.

Because I like Big Brother reading my emails.

-Who cares, I got nothing to hide…plus it is better than my ex-wife reading them.

Because we don't have enough Nukes yet.

-Didn’t know this was a major campaign issue…

Because America rightfully belongs to white Christians.

-Bobby Jindal would beg to differ…as would Michael Steele…and Condoleeza Rice…and Colin Powell. Quick tell me who was the first President to install an African-American person as Secretary of State…(and he did it twice in a row!

Because $75 billion profit in three months isn't enough for Big Oil, I want to give them more.

-Well, it’s their company…who’s giving them more? The consumers who buy gas…so, everytime you fill up your hybrid, you too are paying Big Oil.

Because I love the tax loop holes we created that allow Big Oil to keep all that money.

-You mean like the same tax loopholes that families use all the time to save money?

Because I believe greedy corporations will do the right thing for me.

-Because my greedy government is so much easier to trust, and they’ve got such a good record too!

Because if you don't think exactly like I do you must be a socialist commie.

-Because no Republican has ever voted for a Democrat…ever…in history…not once…

Because Sarah Palin really knows what she is talking about.

-And Al Franken is a brilliant genius (who was also an old, overweight radio talk show host)

Because "white guilt" is an actual thing.

-Wait, which party is the party of reparations? And welfare? And Medicaid? Which party panders to African-Americans the most?

WHAT? DRIVEL, what a waste of space. Ramblings of an Idiot.

I just heard Donald Trump say on the news, that under Obama's plan, charitable contributions will be NO LONGER tax deductable. Is this true? Has anyone else heard this?

Depends on which ramblings you are speaking about!!

Wow thats a lot of hate spewed out with nothing accomplished. Back and Forth. It's a good thing no one was facing each other , there may have been blood shed....

Itemized deductions for allot of taxpayers, too.

Reconciled. I've seen the "in-person follow through" with this crowd. They have less backbone than Niles Crane when they meet face to face. I'd rather watch "The Golden Girls" slug it out. Hey Sentz-I thought your stated goal was bringing people together? Nice work being part of the problem, rather than the solution.

Truth hurts doesnt it.

What a beautiful rebuttal. Nice work!

BTW..I have selected the "partisan time-out" sing-along song of the day today is "Dancing In The Moonlight" by King Harvest. Now have at yourselves, you silly savages-it is almost warm enough for golf anyway....

His response was to the posting about voting democrat. Why is that one ok but his wasn't?

Glad I am independent.

I "pitched woo" with Rue McClanahan one night in Atlanta. It was magic. {And I am pretty sure Bea Arthur was born "Bob" Arthur.}

BTW..9:39. Read on consecutive days...I think ALL extremists' onions need a pounding if they are still acting like spoiled pre-school kids who can't agree to share the dodge ball on the playground without resorting to name-calling and "booger tactics." I am also an independent {but voted Obama this cycle}, and if Sentz really wants to "be the bigger man" {and he has a blog to do it} he needs to do what his own candidate/now OUR president advocated; brush his shoulders off, and start planning for America's {and Salisbury's} future. Not rehashing petty stuff that became "tired" even before national polls closed last November.

And you also posted this in the "Who Voted Democrat?" thread too, right?

Pot meet kettle.

First Point...maybe I missed the original artice that started this non-sense. I can't comment upon that which I do not see.

Second point: You requested an email from me about a week ago after I was the ONLY other one that defended YOUR viewpoint on one of these comment threads against "hate mongering" by the Repub audience, and you were sick of this. You wanted me to contribute, yet wouldn't be candid with me regarding who you even are.

Third point: You know where you can stick that kettle.

As much time as you spend on here, I find that hard to believe.

"You wanted me to contribute, yet wouldn't be candid with me regarding who you even are."

Of the 8 other contributors to my blog, I only know the true identity of 3. You chose to reveal yours to me. Your choice. You also chose not to contribute. Again, your choice. I think it was the right one.

"You know where you can stick that kettle."

I guess that says it all. Sorry you feel that way.

That was exciting. My heart is really racing. Are you a Lee Marvin fan? Don't be shy, I love him too! I wish you well, but hope you "get above" the mudslinging/partisanship that you aspire to be against. Salisbury, as a community, deserves a brighter future-and people like YOU are the ones that are going to have to deliver that message.

I can't be bi-partisan, when you have reason and understanding of basic concepts like economics on one side and feelings and nutjobs on the other...that's what one side feels about the other and they're both wrong. I'm with Reese Bobby, let's meet in the middle and start fresh. I'm a rightleaning independant. I like the nutty song references, I'm thinking "Sweet HOme Alabama" and Forrest Gump cuz Jenni even "taught me to dan-ance."

Thank you 4:08. For any {most likely my single}fan; I did call an audible at the line of scrimmage, due to a last minute guest horsey-du-vre from some guests. Squeeze's "Pulling Mussels From A Shell" has now been re-designated the unifying "contra-hatred" song of the day. Get some of those inexpensive plastic percussion eggs for the kids to explore the space-I mean really explore the space.....
