While this is troubling to people who respect the Constitution and understand the importance of the Electoral College, there is a glimmer of hope. According to a Rasmussen poll released Tuesday, “most Americans still understand the reason the Founding Fathers established the Electoral College and are increasingly opposed to efforts to get rid of it.”
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 46% of Likely U.S. Voters still favor eliminating the Electoral College so that whoever wins a majority of the popular voter wins the election. Nearly as many (43%) are now opposed. Eleven percent (11%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
Support for eliminating the Electoral College is unchanged from last October but down from a high of 56% in November 2012. Opposition has grown steadily from 25% when Rasmussen Reports first asked this question nearly seven years ago.

hillary got most her popular votes from the liberal snowflakes in new york and california. Without those states Trump would have won by a landslide
Only because sore loosers > Demoncrats don't want to loose
again !!!! LOL
It's lose. L - O - S - E.
Loose is when your pants are slipping down. In the end you might lose them because they were loose.
Remember if this changes passes and we the people will not have a say in elections. It will only be the large States such as California New York etc.that will be electing our government officials. Stop this change. We need electoral votes.
Democrats are attempting to get Socialism by changing the Constitution. Then the US will be govern by 8 States and not by 50 States. Will create the 2nd Civil War. Then the US will be governed like MD where 6 Counties plus Baltimore City governs the entire State of MD.
Absolutely we need electoral votes and we also need to have every last person who votes to show ID. Too many dead people vote!!
8:55 they should also have to prove citizenship.
UNCONSTITUTIONAL.
TREASONOUS DEMS.
