Guzzling two large energy drinks within an hour is dangerous for the heart, scientists have warned.
Researchers say consuming 32ounces (946ml) in such little time raises blood pressure and temporarily affects heart rhythm.
However, scientists have warned caffeine is not blame – and other ingredients used in the flavoured drinks is the problem.
Monster and Relentless – two popular energy drink brands – sell 500ml cans. The former says its cans 'pack a vicious punch'.

DUH ? Yeah ?
I think if you ate two sugar packs it would do the same thing.
I would say that drinking a half gallon of anything in 1 hour is probably not a great idea. Even that amount of water unless you have sweated out that much is too much in that short of period of time.
32 ounces is a quart.
Turn the knob at the sink. Water comes out of the tap. Catch some in a glass and drink it several times a day.
My blood pressure and pulse rates dropped to normal after stopping my daily Monster routine. The caffeine was part of it, with the other chemicals, and the artificial sweeteners made my brain think that my body needed to produce more insulin to help metabolize what it thought were carbohydrates, but my cells knew that there was no use for the insulin, so they became insulin resistant and I was on the way to Type 2 diabetes.
Very dangerous products from some of the biggest companies in the US
