Ex-fiancee of suspect in DC 'mansion murders' testifies at trial

The former fiancee of a man being tried for the brutal murders of a wealthy Washington DC family and their housekeeper testified that he had wads of cash on him when he came to visit her in New York just days after the killings.

Daron Wint, 37, previously pleaded not guilty to 20 felony charges, including murder, kidnapping, extortion and arson in the 2015 killings of business executive Savvas Savopoulos, his wife, Amy, their 10-year-old son, Philip, and their maid Veralica Figueroa.

Their bodies were discovered on May 14 of that year after a fire at their $4.5million mansion.
