Salisbury National Night Out August 1, 2017

Tuesday, August 1 at 5 PM - 8 PM

Salisbury City Park
521 S Park Dr, Salisbury, Maryland 21804

"WHAT IS NATIONAL NIGHT OUT?
National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Millions of neighbors take part in National Night Out across thousands of communities from all fifty states, U.S. territories, Canadian cities, and military bases worldwide on the first Tuesday in August (Texas celebrates on the first Tuesday in October). Neighborhoods host block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and various other community events with safety demonstrations, seminars, youth events, visits from emergency personnel, exhibits and much, much more."

Here in Salisbury, we host one large block party in our City Park. Everyone will receive a free food ticket. We will also be handing out free raffle tickets for a chance to win one of many cool donated prizes. If you bring a canned good to donate it to the Maryland Food Bank of the Eastern Shore, you get an extra raffle ticket.

be real. its only for minority neighborhoods. Doubt if anyone in Nithsdale, Nutters Crossing, Cross Creek, Tony Tank, etc neighborhoods will attend. Most law abiding citizens just ignore this event. p.s. a review of current media stories across the country show it still doesn't work.

Can I get my picture taken with the mayor and police chief?

I think you have to let this have a shot. if it gets people out, whether they are rich or poor, and they are peaceful, have a good time. What's wrong with that?
Something that may be a good thing, give it some time.
To many negative nannys. You complain about all the rapes and murders. So something possibly a good thing, and you complain about that to.
With that said. the park needs cleaning up really bad with all the high weed growth. That is dangerous.
But everyone is too worried about the flag of the city to address real issues.

This is truly an opportunity for people from every community all across the great City that is Da 'Bury to come together for one night and to openly associate with one another in order to tear down those societal walls!

This will go to show everyone that we are all broke! Just some at a higher level.

It is the only time in Da Bury people can get out .
The cops are already there. Otherwise it is utter Jaysville.
Shootings, Stabbings, Rapes and run for your lives.
The park will be safe but lookout for the rest of Bury. It will be up for grabs.

It's always a fun event for kids, and for some lucky ones, a new bike.
