Up until Tuesday at least, she was employed as a receptionist for the town. The locks on the doors of Town Hall have been changed.
Police Chief Tom Davis said Holland was arrested around 1 p.m. Wednesday, and released. Snow Hill police could not say when charges would be filed or what they might entail.
The State’s Attorney’s office did not respond to requests for comment.

Why is it that when ever Govt workers are charged there is never any info. Do they wait to see how high up it goes before they decide to actually press charges?
They better charge her pretty quickly. I mean, a person has a right to know why they were arrested.
If they did not file charges, then they do not have enough evidence to charge her or they would have.
Either that or they are playing the "if you don't quit we will let you go and slander it all over the media" and she will live with the effects of it even though she is innocent due to social media.
Small town, small minds.
They generally don't arrest someone without probable cause. They're just not telling people what the charges are at this point.
I'm the first to admit that I don't know anything about this particular case, but many times when town / government employees, that have access to petty cash, are charged with thief.
Big towns, more idiots.
That's one way to find out that you've been fired. Must have come back late from lunch break.
