Salisbury To Raise Water & Sewer Rates Again

Raising water and sewer fees again and everyone should be proud of this budget??? Capital of the Eastern Shore?? What does Berlin, Ocean City and other towns on the Eastern Shore say about that? Where did he get the authority to claim that designation?

Typical liberal. Happy with the budget as here goes fees. Next will be a tax increase for the name of the kids.

Capitol of the Eastern Shore Secede from the rest of Liberal Maryland movement maybe!

They can be proud of raising taxes on those that actually pay - wait till they all move out and refuse to pay - what happens then, Fake?!

Just curious, what designation are you referring to?

OK, the hashtag, sorry...I have never figured them out!

Isn't Delaware part of the eastern shore? I doubt towns like Dover or Wilmington share that "capital " remark.

Not one mention of trying to bring industry or jobs here to help with the un/under-employed to help the economic base! Oh that's right Salisbury is a welfare city now.

I don't claim Salisbury as my capital. Nothing but a gang infested drug and crime ridden hood.

I see houses all over Salisbury either up for sale or abandoned. I'm just glad I don't live in the city. Taxes in Wicomico county are bad enough!!!!
I hope people storm city hall and complain loudly!!!
Ireton just raised taxes and fees before he left office.
I think they need to justify this!!!

Cannot wait to leave. Finishing up house to sell, gettin' outta' da 'bury!

currently if your water bill is $ 20.00 you would pay close to $ 60.00 in sewage....
Salisbury is high rental and the cost will be passed on to all tenants. Way to
Go Jake Day!!!!

Its all because you people dont live downtown at "the rivers edge". I believe if he could build a tower tall enough to house all city residents in the library parking lot, he would do it.

Best thing I ever did for my water bill was get rid of my old top load washer and buy a front load. Huge difference

Inexperienced leaders need all the funds they can cabbage, in order to lay down bike paths, shiny fire units, trolleys, and numerous unwarranted items of waste. Spend, spend, spend. Should be a requirement of these sorts to show their family, household budget before filing for any office. That would likely be a joke for sure. This is factual because I am familiar with a few of the deadbeats in Salisbury, Delmar, etc.

All I can say is, I TOLD YOU SO over and over and over again...

You wanted it and now you got it... Funny how you don't like what you have now, after everyone telling you this is not what you want...

I saw how poorly this city was run, and moved away. My water, sewer, cable, electric, trash, property, and income taxes all went down. I live in a nice neighborhood in a great house. The commute into Salisbury kind of stinks, but overall my quality of life has improved.

My Solution MOVE! Im glad i dont live in smallsbury, MD is bad enough, but salisbury politicians are a running joke on the shore here and the Wallops comuters. I for one am looking to leave MD ASAP.

Has he included in the cost of removing geese poop from all over the riverwalk, sidewalks downtown, the city park, schumaker park, etc. What a mess; wear your rain boots if you plan to use the riverwalk.

Salisbury is a great place to live if u have no inclination of ever looking for a job but believe in the lottery

Day comes up with some ridiculous claims about Salisbury and it's so called accomplishments with jobs and crime and such, but this whole budget and riverwalk downtown agenda is out of control. You couldn't even maintain a safe environment for a festival now you want an amphitheater downtown. I still can't comprehend the attraction to hanging out around such a nasty polluted river

Salisbury is a molded model but on smaller scale of Baltimore or Chicago.

All the manufacturing jobs are gone.low or no income housing everywhere.

Liberal leaders pushing the agendas of the slumlords and big business people who got them elected.

Tons and tons of new fire houses, police departments, trucks cars suvs boats etc all riding in circles and making small incidents look as if there needed so badly.
This has nothing to do with the MSP I respect them with the upmost respect.
I have lived in Salisbury for over 55 years now and i think i am gonna rent the house and get out i thought about selling it but the neighborhood is starting to get mongreled down with daytime sleepers and nightime walkers puffing cigs and texting and talking on obama phones.

Happy memorial day to all our servicemen and thanks to Mr Albero for a venting site to keep us all sane.

Are they going to make the water quality better? Remember when they Ireton wasted all the money on some water treatment plant that never materialized? Where did that cash go? A couple tying one on nights at Market Street with his buddies?

the good thing about Salisbury is that its easy to catch fish in the river. they're all floating for some reason. maybe they're just tired
